Sarah Gray and Emilee MadlingerThe Mehlville Board of Education unanimously approved the hiring of two assistant principals for the 2024-2025 school year:

- Sarah Gray, Assistant Principal, Mehlville High School
- Emilee Madlinger, Assistant Principal, Oakville High School

Sarah GraySarah Gray, Assistant Principal, Mehlville High School
Gray is an elementary instructional coach for Mehlville School District. Previously, she taught elementary school for 14 years and served as a Title I Reading Director. Gray has served as an administrative substitute for assistant principals at Mehlville High School. She has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Southern Illinois University, a Masters of Arts in Education in Teacher Leadership from McKendree University and a Masters in Administrative Leadership from McKendree University.

“We are excited for Sarah Gray to join our team at MHS,” said Dr. Jason Landherr, Mehlville High principal. “She brings a variety of experiences and instructional resources to our team that will benefit both our students and staff. Sarah is a positive and energetic person who is eager to start building relationships with MHS students and families.”

“I can’t wait to join the Mehlville High School community in this new role,” Gray said. “MHS has a great culture and environment, and I’m looking forward to interacting with and supporting our students, staff and parents.”

Gray will begin serving as assistant principal on July 1, 2024.

Emilee MadlingerEmilee Madlinger, Assistant Principal, Oakville High School
Madlinger is a social studies teacher at North Kirkwood Middle School. She has taught social studies for five years, and she’s also served as a substitute administrator and a summer school principal in Kirkwood School District. Madlinger has a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Social Studies Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She has a Masters in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education.

“Emilee Madlinger has the background and knowledge to help us continue to move forward,” said Brian Brennan, Oakville High School principal. “Her experience with professional learning communities will help us make data-based decisions that help all of our students succeed. I’m looking forward to Emilee joining our team this summer!”

“Oakville High School has an extraordinary team of teachers, administrators and staff that I am honored to get to be a part of,” Madlinger said. “I am looking forward to meeting everyone and getting to know the Class of 2028 as we embark on this four-year high school journey together. Students, staff, families and the community have been so warm, welcoming and supportive. I can’t wait to return the kindness!”

Madlinger will begin serving as assistant principal on July 1, 2024.
